The grafting concept applied to architecture reminded me somehow of Studio Libeskind's expansion of the Royal Ontario Museum completed in 2007. I had the chance to visit the ROM in 2018 and, although the project caused a lot of controversy everywhere for many different reasons, I believe it is a very interesting addition to the building and its sorroundings regardless. On the other hand, Philip Jodidio's prolific career is truly impressive. That new book of his is definitely one that I'll try to get my hands on as soon as possible. Thank you once more, Mr. Hill.

Funny you bring up ROM, as Gang explicitly dismisses it in the book's first chapter, alongside Coop Himmelb(l)au's rooftop remodeling in Vienna and other "parasitic" projects. I'm particularly fond of the latter, and I probably would have offered a counter to her argument if I would have reviewed the book alone. Oh well, such is the downside of featuring 2 books in one week.

And re: Jodidio, somehow he has three more books coming out next week. 3 more in 1 week — ridiculous!

Now I wonder why those projects are referred to as parasitic, but I guess I'll have to get my hands on the book to understand.

About Mr. Jodidio's upcoming releases, ridiculous is the only proper word.
